Spousal & Family Sponsorship
The Family Sponsorship Program helps Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents to reunite with their spouse and child, parents, or grandparents, to live in Canada. The reunited family members become Permanent Residents and can live, work, or study in Canada without any restriction. Like other immigration categories, Family Class Sponsorship has certain requirements depending on the individual situation of the person to be sponsored. You may be eligible to sponsor your child, spouse, or common-law partner living outside or inside Canada, if you are 18 years of age or older, and you are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. You can also sponsor your parents or grandparents under the same requirements. In special circumstances, you can sponsor other family members, but we will have to assess your situation.
